Soy Candles - What's so Special?

Soy Candles are one of the fastest growing "environment friendly" domestic items that we all seem to be switching to. The humble candle is no longer a light source means but rather an essential "Home Making" decorative essential. How many Fancy Candles adorn your shelves and alcoves?

Elegant packaging, Aromatic fragrances and stylish containers make candles the ideal gift choice for many occassions. But a candle is a candle, right?
Not any more, I'm afraid, - today's candles absolutely must be of the Soy Wax variety, not by enforcement I might add, but due to the conscious effort we seem to be making to help save the planet, and our health too.

So what's wrong with a good old fashioned candles you might ask..
Quite simply, they're made from petroleum based products - Paraffin Wax to be precise and we don't like wasting Fossil Fuels" these days, we're finally coming to our senses!
Then there's the health issues - should we really be burning petroleum products in our home environment, giving off black soot and other forms of chemical nasties in the process!

I guess not when you see it put that way! - so what is the "Green" alternative?
The answer lies in Soy Bean based products - Soy is everywhere in our daily lives and is no big deal anymore, soy is here to stay and the US agricultural sector is reaping the financial rewards.
Soy Candles are 100% natural products, manufactured from a form of hydrogenated soy oil (vegetable fat) and sometimes blended with a little palm oil and beeswax to alter the considtency.

Soy Candles no longer use wicks containing lead additives either, so they burn cleanly giving off very little sooty deposits and non of the chemical pollutants associated with paraffin wax candles. So basically that's Natural Soy Candles in a nutshell, clean burning, healthy and good for the environment - not suprisingly, Soy Candles have taken over the market by storm, and for very good reasons too.
